Explore a career in communication, marketing, or sales at this annual job and internship fair. Employers will be seeking students and alumni to fill a wide variety of jobs and internships (entry level-experienced).
Full Description:
DePaul University's Career Center is pleased to present its 4th annual Communication, Marketing, and Sales Job & Internship Fair! Students and alumni of all experience levels are encouraged to attend to learn about the many full time and internship opportunities.
Please note that this fair is NOT open to the general public. You must be a DePaul student or alumnus to attend.
Registration:
Pre-registration (through depaul.experience's "Calendar" section) is greatly appreciated.
Pre-registration will be available in summer 2009 until Wednesday, November 4th.
Free registration is also available onsite in room 120.
The list of registered organizations is available at http://depaul.experience.com/stu/cf_registered_employers?fhnd=3891. Note employer registration will not open until Summer 2009.
Prepare for the Fair:
1. Attend the "How to Work a Job & Internship Fair" workshop.
This FREE 1-1 ½ hour session teaches participants how to effectively showcase their skills and abilities at a fair. Workshops will be held:
Tues. Nov. 3 5:30-7:00pm-DePaul Center 9500-LOOP
Wed. Nov. 4 3:30-5:00pm-SAC Room 192-LPC
Pre-register for one of these FREE session through DePaul.Experience's "Calendar" section
2. Visit the Career Center's Peer Career Advisors for a resume review.
Peer Career Advisors are highly trained undergraduates who advise students and alumni concerning basic career related issues on a walk-in basis.
3. Dress for success & bring plenty of resumes!
Professional dress is strongly recommended by the Career Center ¿ it's what employers will expect of you! A business suit or a professional style pair of slacks, button down shirt or blouse and dress shoes are considered appropriate attire for job and internship fairs.
4. Practice interviewing online with InterviewStream. You can use InterviewStream whenever you want to prepare for all of your job, internship and co-op interviews.
